CROSflow® Primer
CROSflow® Primer is a premium polymer-based primer designed for use with cementitious floor preparation systems. Suitable for both residential and commercial applications, it provides excellent bonding strength, good penetration into porous surfaces, and fast drying performance.
This ready-to-use primer is ideal for new construction, renovation projects, and the repair of old floors and walls. It can be used across a wide range of porous surfaces, including concrete, drywall, fibre cement sheets, and other suitable substrates. With its pale blue colour, CROSflow® Primer is easy to identify during application and dries to a transparent blue finish.
Available in 5L and 20L containers, it is a practical and reliable choice for professional flooring installers, builders, and renovators.

Recommended Uses
CROSflow® Primer is suitable for use before applying floor levelling compounds, patching compounds, acrylic plaster, and repair mortars. It is recommended for:
- New concrete floors

Surface Preparation
Before applying CROSflow® Primer, the surface must be sound, clean, dry, and free from contaminants. Remove dust, dirt, wax, grease, asphalt, latex or gypsum compounds, adhesives, paint, curing compounds, sealers, and any material that may affect adhesion.
Concrete substrates should be free from laitance, efflorescence, and hydrostatic pressure. For best results, mechanically prepare the surface using suitable methods such as diamond grinding, shot blasting, scarifying, or other approved preparation techniques. The aim is to create a clean, firm, hard, and open-pore surface for proper primer penetration.
Acid etching is not recommended as a suitable preparation method.
After surface preparation, remove all dust and loose debris using a suitable Class H industrial vacuum cleaner fitted with a HEPA filter.
Application Instructions
Apply CROSflow® Primer evenly over the prepared surface using a soft brush or soft-bristled broom for flooring applications. For wall applications, apply with a roller only.
Allow the primer to dry fully before applying the next product. The primer will generally change from opaque blue to transparent blue as it dries, usually within 1–2 hours, depending on temperature, humidity, and site conditions.
On highly porous surfaces, a second coat may be required if the first coat is fully absorbed. Apply the second coat only after the first coat has dried completely.
Coverage
CROSflow® Primer covers approximately 8–10m² per litre, depending on surface porosity, smoothness, preparation quality, and site conditions.
Clean Up
Clean all tools, rollers, brushes, and brooms with water immediately after use.
